Carolyn A. Noel

Carolyn A. Noel, 82, of Oswego, passed away on October 21, 2025, with her loving family by her side. Born in Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late Frank "Tarp" and Laura (Gifford) Belson. Carolyn was employed by Oswego County Opportunities for many years. She was a hard worker and very social. She loved to stay busy and engaged right up into her 80s. She also enjoyed crocheting and looked forward to day trips to the casinos. She loved spending time with her friends and adored her family. She cherished all the time spent with them and the memories made. Carolyn is survived by her sons William (Catherine) Noel Jr. and Jon (Gina) Noel, both of Phoenix, and daughter Kathy Jo (Dennis) Van Gorden from Jordan. She also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and her sister Cynthia Izyk, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison J. Noel Sr. Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6 pm, with a service to follow, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
