SENECA FALLS - Marco Rea, Sr., 83, passed away Friday (October 17, 2025) at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. Family and friends may call 4 PM to 7 PM Thursday (October 23) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo, NY 13165. The funeral service will be 10 AM Friday (October 24) at St. Mary's Church, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY. Fr. James Fennessy, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterloo, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101. Marco was born September 7, 1942, in Arpino, Italy, the son of Alessandro Rea and Loretta Marcuccilli. Marco worked as an assembler for Goulds Pumps, Seneca Falls, NY, retiring in 1984. He opened his own car dealership and loved classic cars. Marco is survived by son Marco Alberto Rea, Jr. of Waterloo, NY; daughter Diane (Thomas) Margaret Laws of Waterloo, NY; grandchildren Taylor (Alexander) Hartwell of Seneca Falls, NY, Leah (Jake Vreeland, significant other) Laws of Waterloo, NY and Alex (Cat Tiszttarto) Rea of Conway, SC; mother Loretta Marcuccilli of Livonia, MI; sisters Sylvia (Benny) Zagaroli of Livonia, MI, Virginia Leone of Seneca Falls, NY, Maria (Pat) Rea of Livonia, MI and Gina (Armano Arcese) Rea of Arpino, IT; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and 3 great-grandchildren; many friends in NY and FL; and close friend Kathleen Kirschke of Seneca Falls, NY. He was predeceased by his father, son Giovanni "John" Rea, and brother-in-law Tom Leone.
