Diane Nano Obituary

Diane M. (Therrien) Nano passed away peacefully on July 1, 2022 in her home after a long illness. She was born on June 12, 1951, the daughter of Arthur and Rita (Charpentier) Therrien. She was raised in Fitchburg, and moved to Leominster with her husband and two sons in 1979. She attended Fitchburg High School, class of 1969.

She worked for FLLAC Collaborative as a teacher's aide for 32 years until her retirement. She was very dedicated to her students and fellow faculty members.

Diane was an exceptionally gifted and passionate artist. She painted and drew many beautiful works of art. She had a booth at a popular gallery in North Conway, NH where she sold many of her tote paintings. She also gifted many of her works to relatives and friends who admired her work. Diane also had a passion for gardening. Her beautiful flower beds and borders around her home drew many compliments from neighbors as well as passers by. She was a generous and giving person to any who needed advice, a sympathetic ear, or uplifting conversation.

She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 47 years, Nunzio A Nano, her son, Erin C Nano and his wife Heidi of Fitchburg; her sister, Susan Therrien-Fenn and her husband, Bruce Fenn of Bonita Springs, FL; her sister-in-law Cheryl Southwick and her husband, Ralph of Barre, MA; her brother-in-law Louis Nano of Fitchburg; her grandchildren Alisa Nano, Ian Nano, and Ceciliia Nano; Her niece and Goddaughter, Jennifer Gates and her husband Rob Fairbanks; her niece, Angela Parker and her husband, Gary; her nephews, Andrew Southwick and his partner Pamela Goff, and Adam Southwick and his wife Courtney, as well as several great nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, and her son, Justin Nano who passed away December 29, 2021.

Services will be private per her request. There are no calling hours.
