MAILLET, Donald "Don" J., of St. Petersburg, FL passed away suddenly on December 14, 2022 at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. Born in Richibucto Village, N.B. Canada on June 18, 1945 he was the son of the late Gerard Maillet and Rita (Maillet) Maillet. He was a former resident of Leominster, MA, graduating from Leominster High School in 1964. He continued his education earning a Bachelor of Education degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1968 where he was a member of the Psi Beta Phi Fraternity. After graduation, he returned to the Boston, MA area where he worked for Teradyne Industries. In 1989, he moved to Clearwater, FL where he worked for The Oaks of Clearwater and Goodwill Industries where he retired from in 2020 as an ADT Case Manager. He was an avid New Orleans Saints football fan. His passions were traveling, socializing with his many friends and co-workers and his pet dogs, especially his pugs! He never met a stranger. Don leaves behind to mourn, his sister, Alveta Bastarache (Gerard); his only nephew/godson, Marc Bastarache (Kim); his beloved dog, Cooper; as well as aunts, uncles and many cousins. His cousins Joann, Linda, Doreen and Wanda referred to him as their "prince", and that he was to all of us! Per his request, there is no service.
