Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister; 83
LEOMINSTER -- Gloria E. (Buratti) Beike, 83, of Leominster, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, December 6, 2013, in Sterling Village, after an illness.
She was born July 2, 1930 in Fitchburg, the daughter of Biagio and Agnes (Mandozzi) Buratti.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, John M. Beike; two sons, Chuck Beike and his wife, Nancy of Leominster, John P. Beike and his wife, Victoria of Hudson New Hampshire; her daughter, Marianne DiPerri and her husband, Kevin of Leominster; two brothers, Ralph Buratti and Lou Buratti, both of Fitchburg; two sisters, Domenica Perla of Fitchburg, and Mary Iacobone of Leominster; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her sister, Olympia "Lee" Perla of Fitchburg, and her infant daughter, Patricia Ann Beike.
Gloria was a 1948 graduate of Fitchburg High School. She was a Licensed Real Estate Broker for many years at Towne & Country Real Estate, retiring in 1994. She enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod with her family, sewing and doing crafts.
BEIKE -- A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at 11 AM in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon, MA. There are no calling hours. The Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster is in charge of arrangements. www.richardsonfuneralhome.net
