Olive V. Wright

Olive V. (Wells) Wright formerly of Fitchburg; 94 ORLANDO, FL Olive V. (Wells) Wright, age 94, of Orlando, FL, passed away June 11, 2009. She was born in Fitchburg, on March 22, 1915, the daughter of Harry C. And Cora J. (LaFreniere) Wells. She was a graduate of Fitchburg H.S. in 1934. She loved sports and especially her beloved Boston Red Sox. In her earlier years, she loved to golf and attend sporting events. Throughout her life, her greatest joy was her large close knit family, especially her three sisters who were also her closest friends. Her home in Orlando was a constant revolving door of loving family and friends from New England for 40 years who gathered around the table for her comfort food and home baked pies. She moved to Orlando, FL in 1960 and was in the Real Estate business for many years achieving numerous awards from the Orlando-Winter Park Board of Realtors before retiring to her summer lakeside cottage in Ashburnham, MA. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Arthur M. Wright, who died in 2003. She is survived by two sons, Arthur M. Wright Jr. and his wife, Lynda of Altamonte Springs, FL,Rodney C. Wright and his wife, Jeanne of Tavares, FL. She is survived by two brothers, Philip Wells of Tavares, FL, Richard Wells of Fitchburg, MA; and one sister, Margaret Godek of Fitchburg, MA. She was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Wells, Joseph Wells, and three sisters, Gertrude Bowes. Jeannie Powell and Ruth Wells, who died young. Olive had four grandchildren. WRIGHT A Memorial Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fitchburg, MA on June 26th at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Pine Grove Cemetery in Brookline, NH. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Hospice.
