Margaret A. "Peggy" Sylvester

Sylvester , Margaret "Peggy" A. (Geary) Davison, MI Age 86, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Springvale Assisted Living and Memory Care in Swartz Creek. A Private Entombment will be held on Monday, November 16, 2020 at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be announced on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Building Fund, in Peggy's memory. Peggy was born in Flint, MI on April 19, 1934, daughter of the late Francis "Frank" and Frances (Kehoe) Geary. After graduating from St. Michael High School, in 1952, she worked at Chevrolet Assembly in the IBM department. Peggy married Jerald "Jerry" Sylvester on February 8, 1958 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Flint, MI. After raising her children, she started working part-time as a secretary at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, retiring in 1991. Peggy was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where she was involved in, The Blue Army, St. John Altar Society where she served as Vice President, and the Martha's. She was past president and secretary of the Flint St. Vincent de Paul. Peggy enjoyed bowling, cards, traveling, line dancing and spending time with her family and friends. Peggy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jerry; 4 children, Thomas (Laura) of Davison, Gary (Evelyn) of Flint, Michael of Waterford and Amy (Leo) Dion of Mundy Township; 3 grandchildren, Marianne, Leo and Timothy Dion; 2 sisters, Joanne (Richard) Wagner of Grand Blanc and Rita (Michael) Gordon of South Lyon; brother, James (Barb) of Saginaw; several nieces, nephews, and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Steven in 2008. The family would like to thank The Medical Team Hospice and all her caregivers at Springvale Assisted Living & Memory Care for the care they gave Peggy these last 6 months.
