Eby, Jr., Robert J. 5/21/1930 - 10/27/2016 Robert J. Eby, Jr., 86, of Fenton, died Thursday, October 27 , 2016. Robert "Bob" was born May 21, 1930 in Flint, Michigan. He graduated from Flint Central High School in 1948 and went on to receive a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in 1952 using the GI Bill. He was married to the late Nancy Yates Eby from 1958 to 1981. He is survived by his wife, Susan Eby, his two children: Gretchen Eby (Russell DePriest) of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Robert J. Eby, III (Tiffany Eby) of Charlotte, North Carolina and stepson, Mark Henrickson of Flint, Michigan. Six grandchildren also survive him. Bob was a partner in the White, Eby, and Rajala Insurance Agency until his retirement. He served on the Grand Blanc School Board for eight years and was President during the construction of Grand Blanc's West Campus High School (now Grand Blanc Middle School), which was completed in 1976. Bob was an establishing member of the First Security Bank of Grand Blanc in 1974. A recreational sailor and pilot, Bob will be remembered for his calm, private demeanor and fierce independence.
