Christopher Earle Batt, 55, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 in Melbourne, FL. He was born on July 18, 1960 in Miami, Florida and was the son of the late Charlotte Ann Ringelspaugh Batt and Earle Edwin Batt.

Chris was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Chris loved God, family, friends, music, fishing, golf, Nascar racing, football, baseball, and many other sports. His favorite football team has always been the Miami Dolphins.

Chris leaves behind his loving wife, Connie Brant Batt; his father and step-mother, Earle and Ann Batt of Atlantic Beach, NC; brother, William Batt of Rocky Mount, NC; sisters, Sue Batt of Nashville, NC, Cherie (Dean) Smith of Rocky Mount, NC, and Mary (Keith) Grossfuss of Rocky Mount, NC; half-brother, Earle (Lisa) Batt of Bella Vista, AR; step-brothers, Wally (fiance Claire) Poole of Beaufort, NC, Bob (Harvette) Poole of LaGrange, NC, Gregory (Vickie) Poole of Reisterstown, MD, and Ruffin (Kathryn) Poole of Raleigh, NC; and many beloved nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends.

A Celebration of Chris' Life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne, 321-724-2222. A gathering of family and friends will be a half hour prior to the service at 2:30 p.m.

Another Celebration of Chris' Life will be held in Rocky Mount, NC at a future date. Rocky Mount is where Chris spent his teenage and young adult years before moving to Florida.
