Daniel A. MacDonald, 57, passed away on March 26, 2017. He was born in Jackson Heights, NY on April 30, 1959 to Daniel Simon MacDonald and Edith Thorne MacDonald. Danny graduated from New Milford High School (CT) in 1977. Danny moved to Florida in 1979 to attend college. Danny graduated from Florida Institute of Technology in 1984 with a B.S. Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Danny was Vice President of Sales and Service for Metretek, Inc./Mercury Instruments for 24 years before the company was purchased by Honeywell Engineered Field Solutions. Danny was a Product and Solutions Specialist for Honeywell for the last 8 years. Danny is survived by his sister, Danielle Keane (Dennis); two nieces, Jennifer Lasky of Roxbury, CT and Erin Ingenito (Mike) of Carolina Shores, NC; one nephew, Michael Keane of Carolina Shores, NC; three great nieces, three great nephews and one great, great niece. Danny is also survived by close friends, Lynda Ulrich and her sons, Chad & Jack and Mark & Janie Taglione. A funeral service will be held for Danny by Father Peter Sagorski on Friday, March 31st at 1pm at Brownlie & Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne, FL (Palmetto & US1). In lieu of flowers please make a tax deductible donation to one of the following charities that support two children Danny loved so much, Remington & Jack. Wickham Road, Unit 107A, Melbourne, FL 32935. Danny was a dear brother, uncle and friend to so many who will miss him.

Danny was the best mentor you could wish for and made a great impression on me.
I worked closely with Danny for 6 years whilst at Metretek Europe (1992-1998) and I am deeply shocked at the news of his passing. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
