Elting Storms Obituary
West Melbourne, FL
Elting Storms passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 17, 2015. He was born in Yonkers, New York on May 15, 1927. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. After marrying his wife Julia, he moved to Miami, Florida in 1950 to earn his undergraduate degree at the University of Miami and continued on to receive his law degree. He relocated to Melbourne in 1958 to began his successful law practice. During his distinguished career in his private law practice, he served as the Melbourne City Attorney, served on the Board of Health First Hospital and finally retired as the in-house counsel for the Hospital.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, traveling with friends, golfing and spending his summers in Highlands, NC. He was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Highlands Country Club and the Eau Gallie Yacht Club. Elting is survived by his son Kevin Storms, his daughter-in-law Kathy, his son Keith Storms and his six grandchildren, Lauren, Garrett, Marissa, Meredith, Trevor and Kendall. He was predeceased by his wife Julia.
Visitation is planned for Friday, May 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Saturday, May 23 at 9 a.m, with a reception following the service.

Keith and Kevin,
We are saddened to learn of your father's passing. He was our
delightful neighbor in Highlands. He was so proud of you both.
And it meant so much that you helped him in recent summers to
spend time in his Highlands home. We pray God's peace and
comfort for you and yours.

Keith and Kevin,
We are so sad to learn of your father's passing. It is hard to believe that I just saw him last Friday, when both boys (Keith and Kevin) were celebrating Dad's birthday. Elting was very lucky to have two such wonderful sons and I know he was very proud of you both!!

Elting was always one of my favorite people to talk with. He would come in and in no time he would be ribbing either my father or I on something. Always a great sense of humor. He will be missed.
