Franklin Kelley Obituary
Mims, FL
Franklin Delano Kelley, 77, of Mims, FL, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at his residence.
Born March 12, 1937 in Deland, FL, he was the son of the late Lonnie and Annie Mae Kelley. His three siblings, Francis Gregory and Donald and Leon Kelley all of Deland, Florida, preceded him in death.
He obtained his law degree from Stetson University in St. Petersburg, FL in 1965. For over four decades Frank practiced law in Titusville, FL and was former Mayor of Titusville and subsequently served as Public Defender for the 18th Circuit for several years. Frank also served in the Army as a medic in the late 1950's.
He is survived by his former wife, Robi Kelley Roberts, and their two children, Del and Holley Kelley. Additionally, he is survived by five grandchildren. Frank's ongoing interests included military historical facts, nostalgic facts pertaining to his hometown, Deland, Florida, and a lifelong interest in reptiles.
The family is holding a memorial service on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 3:00 pm at North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brevard Humane Society in Frank's honor.

Frank was a good friend of mine. We went snake hunting together many times. We both would draw snakes in English class. Frank's snakes were drawn in great detail down to the exact number of scales on the head of the snake. We went hunting (and skipped school) on the first day of hunting season. I will miss Frank.

Deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Kelly. He was a friend and former law partner of my father's, Bill Walker. I remember him well for his sense of humor. I used to clean their offices when I was a youngster. May God bring comfort to all who feel the pain of his passing.
