Gary Moore, 69, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Gary fought a courageous battle with cancer and was a wonderful example to all who knew him.

Gary was a faithful Christian, loved Jesus and was an active member of Cavalry Chapel Melbourne. He shared his faith to many of his friends.

Gary was born in Independence, Missouri and began his life-long passion of hot rod cars at a young age, a love he pursued his entire life. Additionally, Gary's father Sidney, a well known artist and antique dealer exposed him to collecting antiques as a boy, which became Gary's other major interest. After high school he joined the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve, and earned the rank of Sergeant, an honor of which he was very proud.

After attending college, Gary pursued a profession as a Sales Executive concentrating in the high tech industry, and was a co-owner of his own firm "Advanced Technical Sales" in Kansas City, MO. During this time he met the love of his life, Elisa Phillips (Evansville, IN) and they were married in 1981. Their love is evident to all who know them and it has endured for 35 years.

After much success in Sales, he retired early, moved to Melbourne with Elisa and spent full time as a hot rod enthusiast. He was well known for his garage which housed a life-long collection of hot rod memorabilia, which was a gathering place for other car lovers. He gained hundreds of new friends and developed rich relationships with hot rodders both inside and outside the country.

Gary deeply loved Elisa's family Bill & Jeanine (parents), Doug (brother-in-law), Lee Ann (sister-in-law), Bill (brother-in-law) his wife Robin, and twin nephews Blane and Heath. Gary was an outstanding uncle to his nephews and they loved him dearly. He always made their times together fun.

A memorial service will be held Monday, November 28 at 6:00pm at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, Melbourne. Please come to share your memories with us.

Dear Elisa and family,

I have fond memories of Gary at Chapel by the Sea in South Melbourne Beach. I also enjoyed some fun times in his Melbourne Beach and Melbourne homes with him and Elisa. He will be remembered as a sweet and kindly friend. My love and sympathy goes to Elisa and family at this very sad time.

William Chrisman High School. We have remained friends sharing our love for Custom Cars and Hot Rods. I enjoyed your hospitality extended to me during my stays in Florida.
