John Moore Obituary

JOHN R. MOORE PALM BAY John R. Moore, Sr., 86, of Palm Bay, died Wednesday, Septem ber 5, 2007. A native of Buffalo, NY, he moved to Florida in Au gust, 1969 and moved to Palm Bay in 1990. Mr. Moore was a member of Highland-Ely Lodge #835 F&AM of Buffalo, NY. A volunteer fireman for 20 year, Mr. Moore was a past presi dent of Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Company of Ambherst, NY and Florida Highlands Volunteer Fire Company of Dunnellon, FL. He was a volun teer tutor for the Brevard County Literacy Council and a volunteer for the Brevard County Meels on Wheels. Mr. Moore was a past member of the Marion Community Hospital Auxilary of Ocala, FL and a member of the American Red Cross disaster services, having assisted in 17 disasters nationwide. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy S. Moore; a son, Arthur W. (Stephanie Goodman) Moore of Buda, TX; a daughter, Priscilla Rogers of Parkland, FL; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, John Richard Moore, Jr. Private arrangements will be at the familys convenience. The family would prefer mem oiral contributions be made to William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex, Palm Bay, FL 32907 or charity of ones choice. Arrangements by Fountain head Memorial Funeral Home.
