John Moore Sr.

JOHN R. MOORE PALM BAY John R. Moore, Sr., 86, of Palm Bay, died Wednesday, Septem ber 5, 2007. A native of Buffalo, NY, he moved to Florida in Au gust, 1969 and moved to Palm Bay in 1990. Mr. Moore was a member of Highland-Ely Lodge #835 F&AM of Buffalo, NY. A volunteer fireman for 20 year, Mr. Moore was a past presi dent of Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Company of Ambherst, NY and Florida Highlands Volunteer Fire Company of Dunnellon, FL. He was a volun teer tutor for the Brevard County Literacy Council and a volunteer for the Brevard County Meels on Wheels. Mr. Moore was a past member of the Marion Community Hospital Auxilary of Ocala, FL and a member of the American Red Cross disaster services, having assisted in 17 disasters nationwide. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy S. Moore; a son, Arthur W. (Stephanie Goodman) Moore of Buda, TX; a daughter, Priscilla Rogers of Parkland, FL; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, John Richard Moore, Jr. Private arrangements will be at the familys convenience.
