Sonny and Andy,
I know you miss your dad a lot and I do also. I think of him almost every day.
He and I did a lot of genealogy together with Lisa helping with research. We walked through more than one cemetery looking for tombstones. One day I asked him where he wanted to be and he replied "Bushnell", but that was before we took up metal detecting. I think he might also like for his cremains to be scattered on the beach where he was so happy swinging his metal detecter. My best wishes to you both and your families.

Hi Mark, Another year has come around to visit us. Part of me wants to wish you were here to share it with us but the other would never want you to leave heaven no matter how much you are missed here. Things are still pretty much the same here. Lots of political machines cranking up with the Presidential election campaigns beginning. Boy would you ever have fun this year on the message boards. LOL
Happy New Year, my friend. You are loved and missed.

Hi Mark,
You've been on my mind a lot lately. I know you would be thrilled at recent events concerning our military. I wish you were here to see it happen. I hope they have fried fish and greens for you up there for your birthday. :) Bobbi always made sure you had some. Yum Yum!

Today would have been Mark's birthday. How I wish we could have his birthday dinner at Corky Bell's like we usually did.

Mark.. It is just hard to believe that we had known each other for 15 years and now you have gone to a better place. I will always remember the weekends shared, the coffee moments, the conversations - but mostly I will remember what a great guy I had the privilege to know and love. My heartful wishes for your family and close friends is that they will always remember you as you were - well maybe not the part where you would get so aggrevated with politics! You were too loved to every be forgotten.
Your friend,
Jeannie

It is still difficult for me to accept Mark has changed addresses. I like to think he is on the beach swinging his metal detector. So many good memories over the past few years. Our geneaolgy trips, metal detecting, having coffee and taking pics of birds in his back yard in the morning. He knew of my love for old houses and took me to see many.
He often spoke of his family and friends in Auburndale. He was so proud of his sons Sonny and Andy and his beautiful grand daughters. I know he will be missed by each one.
Margaret, thank you so very much for being there and taking care of Mark.
One year Mark bought me a wooden plaque at the Strawberry Festival that said "Mi casa es su casa". Today if I got another plaque it would say
"Mi corazon esta contigo".

Mark ~~~ your memorial was today, and it was beautiful! Pastor Johnson's service ,a tribute to your life, was very up-lifting. Your friends' remarks on their time knowing you and being in your life was so inspiring. You would have been so proud of Sonny and his memories of you as a father. Both he and Andy were very distraught!
All your family were there for you ,and your friends as well. It just all seems so final now ,and I guess it is. But, you are with your heavenly family now and all rejoicing. I've loved you, and loved being in your life. Memories will live forever in my heart .

Mark, you and I had known each other since high school. We were a couple on and off for over 15 years. You were a wonderful and giving man in so many ways. I will miss you terribly, and a piece of my heart goes with you.

Mark was a man of many talents always so willing to help in any way he could. He was a treasured friend and will be sorely missed. No matter how long he was with us it would never have been enough.
My heart goes out to his family. All of you will be kept in my prayers.
