Patrick Ponder Obituary
West Melbourne, FL
Patrick "Pat" Ponder, 77, of West Melbourne, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013. He was born in Orlando, and was a 40 year employee of Publix retiring as Store Manager of the Indian Harbour Beach Publix store. Pat attended St. Paul's United Methodish Church. He was past president and a 47 year member of the Eau Gallie Rotary Club — with 43 years of perfect attendance.
Suvivors include wife of 51 years, Lois Ponder; son, Randy (Debbie) Ponder; grandson, Kyle Ponder; step grandchildren: Ryan and Lindsey Knight; special adopted son, Kip Kienstra and his family. Pat was predeceased by his daughter, Tammy.
Memorial service is Saturday, January 18, at 1pm at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Friends planning expressions of sympathy are asked to consider The Rotary Foundation C/O the Eau Gallie Rotary Club, PO Box 360501, Melbourne, 32936-0501. During the time we lived next door to you on Jupiter Court Pat was the perfect surrogate Grand Dad to our children. We know that he touched many lives in the same way.
A wonderful man and a great role model. You will be missed by many.

Dear Lois, Randy and Kyle,
So sorry to hear of Pat's passing. Pat was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed. Heaven received an awesome man with his passing and Tammy is now reunited with her Dad. God Bless! Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you always.
