Shirley Houyouse Obituary

SHIRLEY HOUYOUSE MERRITT ISLAND Shirley O. Houyouse passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2008. My will... "Give my sight to someone who has never seen a sunset, a babys face or love in the eyes of a dear one. Give my heart to a person whose own heart has caused nothing but endless days of pain. Give my blood to someone who has been pulled from the wreckage of a car, so that they can live to see grandchildren play. Give my kidneys to one who depends on a machine to exist from week to week. Take my bones, every mus cle, every fiber and nerve in my body and find a way to make a crippled child walk. Explore every corner of my brain. Take my cells, if neces sary, and let them grow so that someday a speechless child will shout at the crack of a bat and a deaf girl will hear the sound of rain against her windows. Burn what is left of me and scatter the ashes to the winds to help the flowers grow. If you must bury something, let it be my faults, my weak nesses, and all prejudice. Give my soul to God. If you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you. If you do all I have asked, I will live forever." In Memorium Mrs. Shirley O. Houyouse Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 27th, at Grace United Methodist Church in Merritt Island, FL. Please make all donations to your favorite charity in memory of Shirley.

Shirley, I will always value and remember our friendship, and the outstanding manner in which you conducted yourself as a member of the staff at DEOMI. Thank you for the time we shared, and for your always enthusiastic demeanor. I know that your soul is with God, but this earthly world is missing one of its real "diamonds."

To Shirley's family & friends, I did not have the opportunity to meet your loved one, but her will touched my heart. Im sure that she was a very special lady & will be greatly missed by all that knew her. May she "live forever" in your hearts & by helping others. I hope to meet her in heaven one day. God Bless you in this your time of need.
