William Faulkner Obituary

WILLIAM FAULKNER WEST MELBOURNE William Faulkner, 92, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2007. Born in Bridgeport, CT he worked for the Bridgeport Brass Company and Platt & Company and two terms as a tax collector for the city of Bridgeport. Mr. Faulkner was very active in St. Josephs Catholic Church and was a life member of the Elks. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Clara Fasanella Faulkner; sister, Betty Bennett; brother, Raymond Faulkner; and several beloved nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 10th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Babcock Street in Palm Bay. Contributions in his name can be made to St. Josephs Beauti fication Project. Arrangements are entrusted to South Brevard Funeral Home, Melbourne, 724-2222.

Clara,
I am traveling in South Korea and decided to check the CT Post online and am sad to hear of Bill's death. He and my father were such good friends and I fondly remember the wonderful times we all had together when you were in Bridgeport, especially the Christmas holidays and cookouts! Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. With time, I hope your pain eases and you remmeber many wonderful memories of the many years you spent together.
