Agustus Bentley Obituary
Services and Interment in Restvale Cemetery will be at the convenience of the Family.

Gus was born in Tyre the son of Agustus and Bertha L. Hoffman Bentley on July 20, 1923. A graduate of Mynderse Academy class of 1940. Entered the Army Service in WWII and served in the 4th Calvary Regiment. He was wounded in the Battle Of The Bulge and received the Purple Heart with one Cluster. A life member and past Commander of the Kirk Casey American Legion Post # 366, Seneca Falls. Also a member and Elder of the Presbyterian Church of Canoga. He retired from the Seneca Army Depot where he held the position of Planner-Programmer for thirty years retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Seneca Ringers Horseshoe League. Enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, Gus was married on April 3,1948 to Evelyn L. Beerse and they celebrated their 67th anniversary in April. Gus was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and had many many friends.
Surviving besides his wife Evelyn are his children, Michael A. (Linda) Bentley of Romulus, Candace A. Simon, Clifton Springs, Lucinda L. (Stanley) Lambert, Seneca Falls and Tim A. (Michelle) Bentley of Florida; grandchildren, Tony A. Bentley, Brandy Sue (Mark) Venuti, Rishona (Keith) DeCann, Jessica Valois, Sarah (Charles) Lopez, Jennifer (Ray) Harless and Alexis Bentley; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Fay Rumsey, Haines Bentley, Louise Toombs, Thelma Schrader, Arlene Tyman, Philip Bentley, Jean Freshman, Catherine Stanton and Sarah Bentley.
The family is being served by the Sanderson-Moore Funeral Home, Inc.
32 State St. Seneca Falls.
