Anna Lewis Obituary
Honoring Anna's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service and burial for family and friends will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Cemetery, Geneva, N.Y.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Peace Parish or to a charity of one's choice.
Anna was born in Geneva, N.Y. and remained a lifelong resident of the community. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Ilacqua and a proud graduate of De Sales High School, Class of 1942. She retired from McCurdy's, where she worked as a sales associate. Anna was a devoted member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children, David (Erica) Dec of Seneca Falls, Paul (Donna) Dec of New Jersey, Raymond Lewis of Rochester, Mary Snyder of Spencerport, Eileen (Rick) Smith of Spencerport, Alice Lewis (Carl) of Henriette, and Pam (Brian) Welch of Florida; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Edwin G. Lewis and John A. Dec; as well as her brothers, and sisters-in-law, Martin and Teresa Ilacqua, Walter and Carol Dec, Steve and Jane Bazarnik, Charles and Dorothy Lewis, Dan and Dorothy Chapmen, Roger and Frances Clark, Gilbert and Evelyn Lewis, Harry and Jean Lewis.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Seneca Rehab and Nursing for their care and kindness.

My condolences to Anna's family. My late husband John and I worked with her at McCurdy's, and she was one of the funniest, sassiest and most caring women we'd ever met. Annie could always be counted on to keep people laughing no matter what. She cried at our wedding, saying she wondered what took so long for us to figure out we were perfect mates. I'm sure John greeted her with a huge hug and the party has just begun.
