Anthony F. "Tony" Coriale

SENECA FALLS - Anthony (Tony) F. Coriale, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Geneva Living Center. His wife of 65 years, Patricia, and son David were with him at the end of a day filled with family visitors while listening to his favorite Frank Sinatra songs.

Tony was born May 28, 1940 in Utica, NY. He married his high school sweetheart in 1959 and worked in the Remington Arms as a toolmaker until the early 1970s when he moved his family to Geneva, N.Y. to open a McDonald's franchise. He, his father, and his brothers successfully opened four McDonald's franchises in Geneva, Penn Yan, Waterloo, and Little Falls. The franchises provided an opportunity for Tony to work with many family members including his wife, children, in-laws, nieces and nephews, and grandchildren. Tony had a no-nonsense mind for business and supported community events, Little League baseball, and other sports teams. Tony, always a quick-witted charmer, loved being in business with his family and engaged in the community. His mischievous sense of humor and ability to turn any moment into a fun game will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Patricia (Seymour); son, David; siblings, Frances (Brewer), Salvatore, Christopher, and Jim; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by two children, Laurie (TenEyck) and Daniel; and his siblings Donna (Tallman), Adeline, and Pamala (Shepherd).

Tony's family will have a private celebration of his life and inurnment. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Tony's charity of choice: St. Jude's Hospital.
