Bernice "Bernie" Barclay

LYONS - Bernice "Bernie" Barclay, 98, daughter of the late George and Mable Hall, was born on April 30, 1914 in the Town of Galen, N.Y. She departed this life on (December 5, 2012) following several months of declining health, at the home of her daughter, Linda Kelley in Stanley, N.Y.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 o'clock at Boeheim-Pusateri Funeral Home, 77 Williams St., Lyons, on Saturday (December 8). A private service will be held immediately following with burial in the Lyons Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to a charity of one's choice, First Lutheran Church of Lyons or Ontario-Yates County Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Road, Geneva, NY 14456.
In 1939 she married Frederick "Fritz" Barclay, who preceded her in death in 2000, following 60 years of marriage. They made their home in Lyons, where they raised their family. Bernice worked for Doctor David Ennis in 1959 until his timely death. In 1970, she moved with her husband to Tonawanda, N.Y. She was an active member of the First Lutheran Church of Lyons for 30 years and Good Shepherd Church of Tonawanda for 28 years.
Bernie is survived by her children, Linda Kelley and friend James O'Brien, of Stanley, Judith Bradley and husband, Edward, of Durham, N.C.; son, Ian Barclay and wife, Kathy, of Marion, N.Y. She has six grandchildren, Michael Kelley, Roxanne Kelley Kelly, Mark Bradley, Kristin Barclay Cataldi, Brandon Barclay and Kara Barclay-El Gohary; twelve great-grandchildren; friend and caregiver, Sharon Weaver, of Clyde, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews;
Sisters, Dorothy Santelli Trombino, of Clifton Springs, N.Y. and Norma Rattey, of Florida; brothers, Willis Hall, George Hall Jr. and Ralph Hall preceded her in death.
Arrangements are with the Boeheim-Pusateri in Lyons.
