Bernice Snyder (Talomie) Obituary
Calling hours will be from 10 to 11:45 a.m. on Saturday (July 29) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A service will follow at 11:45 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
Bernice was born in Geneva on May 15, 1923. Bernice was employed at several places, including as a supervisor at Magnetic Components and Stern's Nursery. She also worked as a cook at Ontario Day Care. Bernice enjoyed gardening, crocheting, crossword puzzles and sitting on her
porch with neighbors, family and even alone. But most of all Bernice enjoyed her family. Visits, gatherings and family picnics.
She is survived by her son, Ed (Joyce) McCarty; granddaughter, Heather
(Sullivan) Beck; great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Rachel Beck; sister-in-law, Evelyn Talomie; several nieces and nephews.
Bernice was predeceased by her first husband, Gordon H. McCarty; infant son, John G. McCarty; second husband, Robert W. Snyder; parents Natale and Rosaria Talomie. She was the last one of nine siblings- three brothers
Peter (Anna) Talomie, Patrick Talomie and Frank (Mona) Talomie; five
sisters Frances (Patrick) Lyons, Rose (Frank) Lagana, Mary (Luis) Deliz,
Margaret (Guy) Torchinelli and Florence (Steven) Elliott; granddaughter,
Karen (Steven) Cape; nieces Patricia R. Lyons and Barbara A. Derenda;
nephews David R. Henninger and Thomas F. Lagana, Sr.
