Daniel Hubbard Obituary
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, November 21, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia Street, Waterloo. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Saturday, November 22, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wright Avenue, Waterloo.
Born July 31, 1944, in Gulfport, Mississippi, Daniel was the son of the late Winfred and Angelina (Schepens) Hubbard. Known to many as Dan, he began his working life on local farms before joining Goulds Pumps, where he worked as a machinist for 35 years until his retirement in 2009.
Dan was a man of simple joys and deep devotion. He found happiness in the outdoors, hunting, camping, fishing, and cherished time spent cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. A familiar face at McDonald's, he enjoyed the comfort of routine and the company of those he loved.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Barbara (Woolschlager) Hubbard, whom he married on November 4, 1967; his sons, James (Jill) Hubbard and Paul Hubbard; his sisters, Patty Hubbard and Maryann (Jack) Greenwood; his brother, Ed (Barbara) Hubbard; grandchildren, Michael, Angela, Kaitlyn, Aliyah, and Hayley Hubbard, and Aric Scott (Brooke); great-grandson, Greyson Cicon; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Dan was predeceased by his daughter, Angela Kathryn Hubbard, and his brother, Eli B. Hubbard.
Dan's legacy lives on in the love he shared, the family he cherished, and the memories he created with all who knew him.
