David was the son of the late Robert and Esther Goodell of Savannah N.Y. He was preceded in death by his brothers Robert L. Goodell and Mike Goodell. He is survived by his wife Ann Goodell as well as 3 daughters, Marissa Premo (Michael Buys), Cassandra Premo, Hailey Freeman; 12 grandchildren; 3 Nephews, Robert Goodell (who was more of a younger brother than nephew), Brandon Watters, Michael Goodell; 5 nieces; 1 sister in-law, Maryanne Rivers; several aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as many close friends that he considered family. We could never forget his 6 cats and his beloved dog Lola.

David spent most of his life as a diesel mechanic. He loved anything with an engine, fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with friends and family. He was a graduate of Hickory High School, Hickory NC and Nashville Auto Diesel College. He was always there to help anyone in need, and he was a friend to anyone he encountered. David will be missed by everyone.
