To the Family and Friends of Dennis, my wife Lori and I are so sorry for your loss. I was raised in Phelps and knew Dennis from his high school basketball days, as an observer at those games I know he moved through the ranks by his keen ability to play the game. If memory serves he moved quickly from JV to Varsity, and he was a star player of the game. Fast forward to recent years I came to some of the Thursday night get together's with Claudette, Joe and friends at "Crouchy's" farm where my sister grows her vegetable garden. A wonderful gathering, good times and laughter. I'm glad I had the opportunity to renew my friendship from these visit with Dennis. I came to know a very generous, kind, humble human being who touched the lives of so many people throughout his life time. His memory warms our hearts.
Still my home town

I grew up in Phelps. Dennis was a part time officer with the Phelps Police Department. Dennis was one of the nicest people I have ever known. Very helpful and caring both as a police officer and human being. He helped me through a tough time in my life as a teenager by simply listening and offering advice. I am forever grateful. My thoughts and prayers to his family, the Phelps Police Department, Ontario County Sheriff's Department, and the community of Phelps.

Crouchie will be missed by me and many more. He is a perfect example of what a good friend does for others. I always enjoyed being around him. He suffered enough in his fight with cancer. May he now rest in peace.

Just at a loss for words. A tear felt eye. You have been a friend since I moved to Phelps in junior high school. You are and always will be a true leader. Always there to answer a question or to try to find an answer. My golf partner in many, many winning golf tourneys. Great talent! I will always save a place for you in my heart. Save a spot for me on the first tee box.

I was very saddened to hear of Crouchie's passing. We had several long discussions over the years and many, many laughs. He was a true friend who helped me out of a few "jams" in my day, and I will miss him very much. Sincere condolences to Sharon, Susan, Diane and all the Crouch family. RIP old pal.
