ROMULUS/WATERLOO/CANANDAIGUA – Edna A. Swartley, 89. Ferris Hills, entered Heaven Sunday (November 19, 2023) at FF Thompson Hospital, Canandaigua, N.Y.
Family and friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday (November 24), at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo, N.Y. Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday (November 25), at Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, N.Y. The memorial service will be 12 p.m. Saturday (November 25), at Harvest Field Baptist Church, 2382 Leader Road, Fayette, N.Y. Rev. Floyd Marsh, pastor of the church, will officiate.

https://opendoormission.com.Edna was born September 8, 1934, in Souderton, Pa., the daughter of the late Jacob "Walter" and Grace Alderfer Yoder. She grew up in eastern Pennsylvania where she married Robert N. Swartley on July 26, 1952.
Edna and Robert lived for many years near Doylestown, Pa.. In 1971, they moved their family to Romulus where thy founded Split Pine Farms. A farm wife all of her life, Edna passed on her love for nature in her flower beds around the yard and in the large family garden.
Family vacations were spent camping, which Mom always said she wasn't sure that they were vacations for her. Edna was a loving wife and a nurturing mother.
A woman who loved God, Edna lived out her faith in serving others through the ministries of the church, as well as helping people she met each day.
Family, friends, and neighborhoods have great memories of enjoying wonderful time together.
She is survived by two daughters Julia (Thomas) Bontrager of Carmel, IN and Audrey (Gary) Rupp of Whitestown, IN; three sons Gerald (Teresa) Swartley of Geneva, Kevin (Melody) Swartley of Romulus, N.Y. and Rodney (Michele) Swartley of Geneva; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Robert N. Swartley; daughter and son-in-law Brenda Swartley and James MacInnis; and brother and sister-in-law Clyde A. and Lydia Yoder.
