Edward Sharp Obituary

GENEVA - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Edward Sharp, 75, devoted husband, loving father and doting grandfather on December 19, 2024 in Rochester, N.Y.

Ed was born in East Irondequoit on February 10, 1949, the son of Bob Sharp and Gertrude Sharp. He is predeceased by his parents; Bob & Gertrude Sharp and brother Doug Sharp.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda; son, Robert (Ann) Sharp of Holly Springs, N.C.; daughter Maggie (Mithun) Mukherjee of Rochester, N.Y.; grandchildren William Sharp, Victoria Sharp and Maanav Mukherjee; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews.

In Geneva, N.Y., Ed was an ordained deacon and elder of the Presbyterian Church as well as a Sunday school teacher. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts as an assistant leader and also served as a committee member. He spent the majority of his career at Mike Barnard Chevrolet in Geneva and Newark. He also served with the Army National Guard. He enjoyed model railroading and loved all his pets dearly. Ed had a love of all things transportation, especially his Corvettes.
