Dad,
I can't believe it has been almost a month since you went to be with the lord. It does not seem possible. I love you very much and know that you are now at peace and living without pain. I am sure you are riding your tractor and mowing your grass. You were the greatest Dad. I know you chose me to be your daughter and want you to know that I am forever greatful and you were wonderful to me. I will miss you deeply. I love you and I know you are watching over all of us here. Please tell Grandma and Grandma I said hello and that I love them and miss them very much too. Love you.

Norlene, Kathy and other family members,
John and I enjoyed many enjoyable visits with Gene and Norlene, both here in Texas and in their home in NY. Gene had such a sharp wit and such a twinkle in his eye when he shared fond memories of the life he and Norlene shared and of his children and grandchildren. On our last visit he would get the biggest smile when talking about his great-grandson Bryson. There were always "tall-tales" when he and Nancie came back from one of their fishing trips (even told us Nancie was one of his best friends and I know she loved him dearly, too).
"For those bound by Love, Even death cannot break their loving ties." This quote sums up a wonderful life having been lived and also shared by those whose hearts were touched.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Aunt Norlene, Kathy, Jeanine, Karen, and David,

I am so sorry for your loss. I will always have the fondest memories of the summer vacation on Wanita Lake. Fishing, boating, and the entire family together having fun. My Papa was a very strong man with a heart full of love. He battled through a lot in his life and always worked hard. He will always be remembered as the sports guy with a great sense of humor and a firm hand shake... the Grandfather who was always proud to call me his Granddaughter... and the Great Papa who made his Great Grandson's face light up every time we walked into the house. God will take good care of you and let you rest in peace... Now you can sing "Good Morning Breakfast Lovers" to all the angels around you and watch the Yankees from up above. We love and miss you Papa Yehl... forever in our thoughts and prayers.
