Grace worked with me in the Lab for many years during my tenure at the Experiment Station. She was a faithful and trusted employee and a great friend. We always looked forward to her newsy Christmas letters and, when we did not receive one this year, we started checking. Rest in peace, dear Grace.

Grace and I became good friends at Cornell in the early 50's. After graduation she was employed for 30 years at the NY State Expt. Station where my Dad, Willard Crosier, was a professor. I worked there summers and since my family lived in the area we saw each other often.Grace was in Ag School courses with my husband, Ronald Carpenter, at Cornell and was helpful in getting us acquainted. She was in our wedding in Sept.1955 and we've corresponded and visited through the years. As I write this I can almost hear her voice and her hearty laugh! Whenever we traveled to Geneva area we would get in touch with Grace. We shared an interest in Genealogy and discovered that she & Ron were distant cousins. She was an avid bridge player, even in college, but couldn't get me interested. When we were roommates she stayed up very late studying and making faucet water coffee to stay awake.
I have a collection of her long, newsy Christmas letters that were filled with her years activities and her pets antics.Xmas won't be the same without her long, newsy letter!
We last saw her summer of 1918 when we visited family. She took us to lunch at a rest, along the lake with a great view and good food.
My sister in law who lives in Geneva, called me this past Sun. to say that Grace's obituary was in the paper and that she had died on the 22nd. Am thankful that I heard about her passing - she is very much in my thoughts and prayers, and will be, especially at Sat. service.
Our condolences to her brother, John Fox, and to her nieces and nephews.
We've been acquainted over 65 years!
God Bless you Grace - I look forward to seeing you again one day!
Love, Marlene
