Harriet Farnsworth Obituary

NEWARK – Harriet J. Farnsworth, 74, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Newark Wayne Community Hospital.

She is predeceased by her husband Justus T. Farnsworth, Sr; her parents Clarence M. and Gertrude (Kamminga) Brink of Newark, N.Y.; her daughter-in-law Marisa Lumadue; and former husband Allen Lumadue.

She is survived by her children, Clarence Lumadue, Beth (Thomas) Castle, and Justus T. Farnsworth, Jr; grandchildren Skylar (Kaelyn) Lumadue, Spencer, Abigail and Lilyanne Castle, and Justus T. Farnsworth, III; and a host of other relatives and very close family friends.

Special thank you to the care she received from RGH, Newark Wayne Community Hospital, and DeMay Rehabilitation staff.

Harriet was one that took the room, she made you aware she was present. She was very involved in her church latter part of her life. She was proud of her grandchildren, always had to have the last word, and whether you wanted it, she gave you her opinion.

Harriet's funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11 a.m., located at Maranatha Baptist Church, 8721 Travell Knapps Corner Rd., Lyons, N.Y., Service is given by Pastor John Kuhn.

Immediately following the service we will meet in East Palmyra's Cemetery to commence her to the earth.
