Howard Faro Obituary
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday (October 21th) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services will be held at the 2 p.m.. on Tuesday ( October 22nd) at the Fairville Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Fairville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Fairville Fire Department in Howard's name would be appreciated.
Mr. Faro was born January 9, 1929 in Newark, the son of late Jacob and Mary VerDow Faro. He was a member of both the Fairville Presbyterian and the Park Presbyterian Church. Howard owned and operated his vegetable farm for over 56 years and Faro's Roadside Stand. He also was a regular at the Newark and Lyons farm markets. Along with his farming, Howard worked for several other companies. For ten years, he worked at Garlock, Inc., then twelve years with the Town of Arcadia Highway Department and for eight years, he drove school bus for Marion Schools.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty; a son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Susan of Newark; two grandchildren, Timothy and Jarod.
