James Boschetto Obituary

SENECA FALLS - James F. Boschetto, 60, of 2295 West Tyre Road, Seneca Falls, died Friday (September 23, 2011) at Upstate Medical University Hospital in Syracuse.
Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday (September 28) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. (September 28) at the funeral home. The Rev. Ellen Donnan, pastor of Junius Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca County Community Christmas Project, 23 Center Street, Waterloo, 13165.
James was born January 11, 1951, the son of the late Francis and Evelyn McNeil Boschetto. Although he spent most of his life living in the Finger Lakes, for a short period of time he lived in Florida. While living in Florida he owned and operated his own bar, The Rustic Inn. He also owned and operated a cleaning company and was also a handy repairman.
He is survived by his significant other and best friend: Dawn Wickum of Seneca Falls; one daughter: Michele Miner of Lyons, two sons: Shawn (Emily) Boschetto of Newark and Anthony Wickum of Seneca Falls; and five granddaughters: Kirstie, Brooke, Britany, Paige, and Lacey; and one great-grandson, Jayden.
He was predeceased by his parents; two half-brothers: Glenn and Kenneth Smead; and one half sister: JoAnn DeBout.

Hey, Jim.... You made me laugh and made me feel at home during a difficult time. I will cherrish many happy memories: your black and white cat, the bonfire on the ice, fishing on the lake, introducing me to Quickdraw, that place where they filmed Planet of the Apes, pickling eggs. As a neighbor and friend of Jim's. I know how much he loved Dawn and Anthony. They were always involve in one activity or another and enjoyed being together. He always had a kind word to say and I enjoyed being with the family. His memory will be with me and prayer are sent to Dawn and Anthony. Rest in peace.
