John Flock Obituary
Survived by wife of 51 years Sandra (Luffman) three children: Christine (Donald) Iocco of Canandaigua, Steven (Mary) Flock, Stephens City, Virginia, Karry (Dean) Bower, Christiansburg, Virginia; grandchildren Jason, Allison, Tyler, Sarah, Heather, and Steven jr.; siblings Eileen (Flock) Dyson, Ted (Judy) Flock and Kathy (Carson) Lankford, all of Seneca Falls and many relatives near and far.
Pre-deceased by parents Theodore and Margaret Flock; brothers Ron and Joseph; sister, Felixia.
John served in the United States Air Force From 1966 TO 1969 where he then started working for Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, and subsequently for several other companies within the same industry before retiring.
John was an avid stock car fan and participated in the sport in several different roles. Racing brought much joy to John, and he will be remembered as a man who was passionate about promoting the sport and supporting many in the racing community with a smile, a joke and his endless generosity.
A celebration of John's life is being held at the Living Word Assembly of GOD in Ontario, N.Y., on Tuesday, August 1st at 2 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Spaulding Foundation for Injured Drivers or a charity of one's choice.

Condolences on the loss of an irreplaceable man. I worked with John for 13 years at EK. He was brilliant with a great sense of humor and always figured out a solution. He will be greatly missed.

I'm grieved for John's family to have to face such a great loss, while I rejoice with John in his gain, for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Our prayers are for Sandra and his family, that the peace of God sustains you as His presence brings comfort and healing. I regret not being able to be there in person to celebrate him with you.

John was a dear friend, a constant supporter, an encouraging force, a funny human being, a huge-hearted man, a racing giant in terms of knowledge, connections, and passion, and the greatest family man who adored his family to the ends of the earth. He gave great counsel, was endlessly supportive, and will be sorely missed every single day. Thank you, John. Covering IndyCar at Pocono was a highlight with you, but talking on the phone, especially after covering race weekends, was always my favorite. Thank you, Sandy, for sharing your husband with so many. I still have the beautiful necklace and earrings you made and sent me and wear them proudly. Godspeed, John. I love you.
