Jorie Cruz Obituary
Friends and family are invited to call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6 at Paul L. Murphy & Sons funeral Home, 127 E Miller St, Newark, N.Y. 14513. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7 at St. Michael's Church, 401 S. Main St., Newark, N.Y. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.
Jorie was born in Geneva, on July 6, 1993, the son of Jackie Cruz Sr. and the late Erica Goebert. He was a graduate of Newark Senior High School, Class of 2011. He loved playing basketball. He was a sports fanatic, Jorie especially loved watching basketball and football.
He is survived by his son Jonah; girfriend of seven years Melissa Cass; four brothers Jackie (Tahsha) Cruz, Jayce Cruz, Jayden (Katherina) Cintron and Jensyn Cintron; his father Jackie Cruz Sr.; step-father Carlos Cintron; a step daughter Lily; four uncles Roger Goebert, Lance Goebert, Calan Lopinto, Raen Goebert; an aunt Aubrey Goebert; many nieces nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Erica Goebert in March and his grandmother in October.
