Joseph Bub Obituary
The family will be present to receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday (May 18, 2017) at the Covert Funeral Home, 7199 So. Main Street, Ovid. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday (May 19, 2017) at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Ovid. Burial will follow in West Lodi Cemetery.
The family asks those that would like to make a contribution in Joe's memory to kindly consider donating to a Trust Fund being established for Joe's children.
Joe was born in Queens on September 19, 1973, a son to Walter and Barbara (Donaldson) Bub. After graduating from South Seneca High School in 1991, Joe joined the United States Army where he served in the Reserves. He worked as a home health aide at Longview and enjoyed becoming friends with many of the people there.
Joe is remembered by his loving wife, Lisa Bub; son, Matthew; daughters Caitlin and Carrie; father, Walter Bub Sr.; six siblings Kathleen (Willie) Breen, James (Debbie) Bub, Walter (Lisa) Bub Jr., Jennifer (Steve) Woodard, John (Julie) Bub, and Elizabeth (Joseph) Borst; seven nieces; nine nephews; one grand-niece and another on the way; and many friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Bub; paternal and maternal grandparents; and a nephew, Zachary Bub.

You were good neighbors and we enjoyed watching the little ones grow. Joe will be missed by his family as well as all the people who knew him.

Joe was wonderful with my mother while she lived at Longview and even visited her in the hospital before she passed. When they said goodbye to each other it touched our hearts.

Joe will be greatly missed. I knew joe from Longview. He would always say good morning Tammy,how are you doing. He had a great sense of humor. R.I.P. My prays are with you all

I remember Joe from working at what was then Alterra in the early '00s. His enormous personality and clear affection for the residents stood out; he had a seldom-matched sense of purpose. My condolences to the family.

It is with great sadness that I read about Joe's death. My mother was a resident at Longview for several years. He treated my mom as he would treat his own mother. We developed a very Warm and friendly relationship and he was so pleasant to work with. Rest in peace Joe.
