Judy Haslett Obituary

GENEVA - Born Judy Barnard in Geneva, New York, Jud (pronounced "Jude") Barnard Lynck Haslett passed away on October 20, 2025 from pneumonia after fourteen days on life support.

She passed peacefully with her family by her side.

She is survived by two children; Jim and Tracy; her husband, Tom; also by her sister and brother, Laurie and Ricke; and all their families including myriad grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jud kept the name Lynck from her first marriage to retain the connection with the names of her beloved children.

Jud graduated from Geneva High School, class of 1963, then completed a two year degree at SUNY before a four year Bachelors of Science degree in psychology from Glendale Community College in Arizona. She completed a nursing degree to become a Registered Nurse at Ottawa University in Arizona. Jud was proud of her education and worked for more than 20 years in schools to support the education of others.

How do you write well enough to do justice to your lover, partner, and best friend of 30 years? Jud loved her friends, she loved reading and sports and she loved helping people. Her 20 years as a school nurse and assistant JV softball coach at Mountain Ridge High School are some of her proudest. She cared devotedly for her children, grand children, and great grand children, especially when she could host them at her cabin in the mountains of Alpine. She will be dearly missed and loved forever by her family and friends.
