Karen Bedette Obituary

NEWARK - Karen J. Bedette, 73, went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday (August 13, 2021) at F.F. Thomson Hospital.

The family will greet friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Friday (August 20) at Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark. Karen's funeral service will follow calling hours at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Diabetes Association, 160 Allens Creek Rd., Rochester, NY 14618 or the Alzheimer's Association, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620, in memory of Karen.

Karen was born the daughter of the late Herbert and Ina (Giesy) Bedette on Sunday (May 9, 1948) in Newark, N.Y. Karen grew up in the area graduating from Newark High School. She retired from Finger Lakes DDSO as an administrative assistant. Karen was a woman of great faith, and she attended Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Karen enjoyed art, photography, traveling, playing bridge, bowling, social gatherings, eating out, and picnics.

Karen was a friend to many and had many wonderful friends.

Karen will be remembered by her sister, Linda Tynon; nieces Kelly (Brian) Bequette and Tricia (Jay) Adams; nephew, Andy (Brittany) Tynon; special friends Kathy Delano, Carinne Wolford, Bonnie Smith, Barb DelPriorie and Joann Haskins; and her godchild, Douglas J. Tusch.
