I am so sad to hear of Katie's passing. We were neighbors growing up and played all the time as kids in their basement. Prayers to her family and friends.

Some people have a smile that can light up a whole room. Katie's infectious smile could light up a whole town. Katie put her rare combination of empathy and strength to great use and made a difference in this world. Her kindness and sense of humor will be greatly missed. I expect to see her smile welcoming me when it's my turn to go to Heaven.
