Keith Cotten Jr. Obituary

HIMROD- Keith Richard Cotten Jr., 67, died Monday (February 7, 2011) at home.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday (March 5) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water St., Dundee, where a Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lucinda O'Leary officiating.
Keith was born May 2, 1943 in Sullivan County, the son of the late Keith and Elizabeth Hunt Cotten Sr. On September 3, 1966 in Dundee, he married the former Carol Ann Morrow. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves out of Horseheads from 1965 to 1971. Keith was a Maintenance Technician and Welder for 36 years with the Ferro Corporation in Dresden, retiring due to health issues in 2004.
Mr. Cotten was a member of the Himrod Conservation Club and the National Rifle Association. Being a farmer for many years, along with his mechanical skills gave him the enjoyment of repair and restoration of tractors in his spare time.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Carol Ann Cotten of Stanley; eldest son, Brian K. Cotten of Stanley; youngest son, Kevin R. Cotten at home; two grandchildren: Danielle N. Cotten and Dameyon L. Cotten; two brothers: Richard "Dick" (Phyllis) McAdams and Mitchell A. (Elizabeth) Cotten, both of Dundee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Will miss Keith's great mechanical ability and being able to pick his brain when I have a problem while working on a piece of equipment. He really taught me alot over the years we worked together at Transelco. My wife and I are in Arizona now, but feel free to give me a call in the spring if you need anything. God bless you all, Chuck and Linda
