Kenneth Root Obituary
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday (July 9) at Calvary Chapel, 2291 Rt. 89, Seneca Falls, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Ships, 15862 Highway 110 North, Lindale, TX, 75771 or Calvary Chapel, 2291 Rt. 89, Seneca Falls, NY, 13148.
Ken was born August 15, 1930 in Buffalo, the son of Ivan C. and Esther A. Tross Root. He owned and operated for many years Root's Electric in Seneca Falls. Ken loved boating and enjoyed many years on Seneca Lake.
He is survived by his wife, Bonita G. Wheeler Root; sons Kenneth E. (Debbie) Root, Jr., of Buffalo, Mark (Bonnie) Root of Puget Sound, Wash., Matthew (Margaret) Root of Buffalo, and Allen Root of Denver, Colo.; stepson, John Burkhart of Carlisle, Pa.; stepdaughter, Cheryl (Sean McCormack) Matheis of Amherst; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson; sister, Shirley (Donald) Cotton of Canastota.
Ken was predeceased by brothers Bud and Ivan Root; and sister, Norma Ames.
