L. Sain Obituary
Dr. Sain was born April 28, 1961 to the late Joe Allen and Mary Judith Sain in Mobile, AL. He graduated in 1988 from the University of Florida with a Doctorate Degree in Medical Dentistry and a Bachelors Degree in Microbiology. Dr. Sain was a member of the University of Florida Alumni Association, a member of the American Dental Association, and a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Panama City.
He was an avid fisherman and loved boating.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tina Sain of Panama City; a son, Steven Joseph Sain of Panama City; two daughters, Natalie Sain Jacob and husband, Paul of Groves, TX, Angela Maria Sain of Panama City, FL; a brother, John Richard Sain of Panama City; a sister, Mary Jo Vernon and husband, Carl of Panama City; and a he was a beloved uncle to four nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Panama City with Rev. Rudy Olivo officiating. Interment to immediately follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Southerland Family Funeral Home.

I was saddened to read about Allen's death. I worked as a hygienist for his father when he was a little boy and remember putting molar bands on his finger as a ring! I remember his brother, Richard and remember like it was yesterday when the senior Dr. Sain told me that they were adopting a baby girl and her name was to be Mary Jo. It is hard for me to think that Allen is gone.

I think about you every day. I guess you and Don, Jr. are in Heaven talking Gator Football. You and Don passed away just a month apart. I miss you both very much. I look forward to seeing both of you again someday.

I am very saddened by the loss of Allen. He was one of my good friends from dental school and shared many good experiences during college and kept in touch as best we could. I am fortunate that I knew Allen very well and will miss him greatly. My heart goes out to Tina and the children. He will be greatly missed. God Bless

My husband, daughter, & I are devastated by Dr. Sain's passing. He was such a kind, caring, wonderful person. Not only was he a remarkable person, he was an extraordinary dentist. No matter what dental procedure we had to undergo, he always made us feel calm, comfortable, & confident in his abilities. We will miss him. My family and I send our deepest condolences to his family. We have known Allen as patients for over 20 years, when he was working in Wewa then opened his office in Panama City. To the best Dentist I have known. He was the best. He always made sure you were not in pain before working on your teeth. He even came in afterhours for a dental problem I had with a broken crown on a front tooth. He will surely be missed. I do not know where to begin looking for a great dentist like DR. Sain. My deepest condolences to the entire Sain family.
There are no words to express that can come close to the sadness and grief I feel. Your husband and father was a great man and I am very thankful to have been his dental patient and friend. I brought my whole family, all six of us. He provided excellent care and having him as our dentist was a privilege. He took very good care of all of my family.
