Lillian Christiansen Owen
PENN YAN - Lillian C. Owen, 90, of Penn Yan, entered eternal life with her Lord and Savior on Friday (December 23) surrounded by her loving family.
There will be a celebration of Lillian's life at 11 a.m. on Tuesday (January 3) at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Penn Yan, N.Y. 14527.
Lillian was born October 7, 1926, the daughter of Paul and Agnes (Jepsen) Christiansen. Lillian graduated from Penn Yan Academy and attended Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. She was a life member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, a member of its choir for decades, a council member, Sunday School Teacher and the first female Worship Assistant. She was a member of the PY Women of the Moose and the PY Area Women's Club. She also belonged to several Canasta and Euchre card groups, in recent years and in years past, was a league bowler and softball team member. Lillian and her late husband, Kenneth H. Owen, established, owned and operated K&L Cleaners, in Penn Yan, for decades. Lillian was also the Executive Director of the local Selective Service Board for many years.
Lillian is survived by her children Karen (Bob) Pinneo, Deborah (Dennis) Fullagar, Kenneth A. (Sandy) Owen, Christine (Terry) Orr, Lisa Dean and Kurt (Diana) Owen; grandchildren Julienne (Jim) Marcath, Kristopher (Jenna) Owen, Kelly (Greg) Montano, Todd Orr, Susan (Dave) Henderson, Jarrod (Kelly) Orr, Karlie and Lindsey Dean, Joshua and Jordan Owen; stepgrandchildren Amanda and Andrea Miller; great-grandchildren Samantha and Emileigh Marcath, Jacob Owen, Sofia and Max Montano, Chloe, Jesse and Ocean Orr and Emma and Isaac Henderson; stepgreat-grandchild, David Henderson; brothers Arne (Bea), Jim (Dottie), Ralph (Pam) and Dave (Mickie) Christiansen; sisters-in-law Polly Christiansen and Gail Christiansen; brother-in-law, Bill Williamson; many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth H. Owen; brothers Anton, John and Harold Christiansen; sisters and their spouses Else Johnson, Vera (Doc) Champlin and June (Elford) Braman; sisters-in-law Sue and Jan Christiansen and Grace Williamson; twin granddaughters Denise and Ann Fullagar; nieces; a nephew and close friends.

my thoughts and deepest sympathy to all the Christiansens and all of Lil's friends. Lil was my mother's dearest friend for many years and she was loved by everyone who knew her. I will cherish her memory always and am grateful to have known her.

Lillian was a very sweet and gentle woman. She will be missed by all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family during this sorrowful time. God bless!! RIP Lillian!!
