Mary Gilardo Obituary

NEWARK - Mary D. Gilardo, 96, passed on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at her daughters' home.

Friends are invited to call on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Paul L. Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17 at St. Michael's Church, 401 S. Main St., Newark, N.Y. Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.

Memorials, in her name, may be made to St. Michael Church, 401 S. Main St., Newark, N.Y. 14513.

Mary was born in Newark, on March 29, 1929, the daughter of the late Albert and Bridget DiSanto. She was a graduate of Newark High School, class of 1946. She graduated from Eastman Dental School in 1948. She worked as a dental hygienist until she retired in 1992. Mary was a faithful communicant of St. Michael Church where she was a member of the Rosary Alter Society and the Resurrection Choir. She was a member of Marian Cenacle.

She is survived by her daughter Chrisanne (Tim) Beardslee; Sister-in-law Gloria Teshkoyan, many nieces and nephews, godson Brian Archunde and forever remembered by a vast and loving network of family and dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband Philip in 2008; sisters Theresa Santelli and Netta Colacino; brothers Peter and John DiSanto, treasured nephews Jim Colacino and Mark Teshkoyan.
