Maureen Ellen "Moe" Castle-Barto

WATERLOO - Maureen Ellen "Moe" Castle-Barto, 64, passed away Wednesday June 11, 2025 at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo, N.Y.

Family and friends may call 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday June 15 at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo, N.Y. The memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday June 16 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fayette Rural Cemetery, Fayette, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Seneca Ambulance, Inc., 1645 North Road, Waterloo, N.Y. 13165.

Moe was born November 8, 1960 in Waterloo, N.Y., the daughter of Richard R. and Dorothy C. Coffin Barto. She worked as a machinery employee for Libby's in Geneva, N.Y. Moe also worked in Geneva General Hospital as a CNA, as well as a home health aid for The Center for Disability Rights in Geneva, N.Y. She was known for being a caregiver, and loved to entertain and to cook.

Moe is survived by her children, Stacey (Gerardo) Santiago of Waterloo, N.Y., Harry (Angela) Johnston of Canandaigua, N.Y., Amanda (Kevin) Johnston Porter of Waterloo, N.Y., Ronald Castle, III of Ovid, N.Y., Tara (Chris) Stedge of Seneca Falls, N.Y., and Travis Castle of Waterloo, N.Y.; grandchildren Ariana Santiago, Safina Castle, Remi Castle and Willow Stedge; siblings Dale (Laura) Barto of Cayuga, N.Y., Roger Barto of Seneca Falls, N.Y., Romayne Barto of LA, Carolyn Barto of NC and Jeff (Jessica) Coffin of Dushore, PA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; and brothers John Barto, Richard Barto, Jr., James Middeke, Roland Barto, and Bruce Barto.
