Ricky Ransom Obituary
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday (June 24) at 1 p.m. at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Hall, NY. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stanley Fire Co., P.O. Box 481, Stanley, NY 14561; or to the Stanley-Hall-Gorham Ambulance, P.O. Box 57, Hall, NY 14463
Ricky was born in Clifton Springs. He graduated in 1979 from Marcus Whitman Central School. Ricky loved to hunt and fish. He loved riding his Harley motorcycle and he enjoyed antique cars and trucks. Ricky enjoyed playing cards as long as he was the winner. Ricky worked as a machinist for Garlock in Palmyra for several years. He volunteered as a driver for the Stanley-Hall-Gorham Ambulance and was a member of the Stanley Fire Company.
Ricky is survived by his mother, Pat Ransom; sister, Sharlyn (Anthony) Secor; brother, Randy (Kim) Ransom; nine nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; one great-great nephew; aunt, LaVerna Roe; and several cousins.
Ricky was predeceased by his father, Judson J. Ransom, Jr.; his nieces' husband, Christopher Trottier; uncle and aunt, Wallace and Ruth Minns; uncle, Donald Roe; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
