Robert Fitzpatrick Obituary

NEWARK - Robert T. Fitzpatrick, 94, of Newark, died Saturday (Dec. 5, 2009) at the DeMay Living Center in Newark.
Friends may attend a funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday (Dec. 11) at the Norman Waterman Funeral Home, 124 W. Miller St., Newark. Interment will be in the East Newark Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the DeMay Living Center, 100 Sunset Drive, Newark 14513.
He was born July 5, 1915, in Prestonsburg, Ky., the son of the late Issac and Mahala Fitzpatrick. Robert was born and raised in Kentucky and lived most of his life in California, where he was a precision sheet metal worker who built part of the lunar landing module that put men on the moon. Robert and his late wife moved to Newark in 2007 to be
closer to their son and daughter in-law.
Robert is survived by his sons, Gary (Janice) Fitzpatrick of Newark and James Douglas (Rosemary) Fitzpatrick of Queensland, Australia. He is also survived by two brothers; two sisters; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Martha Fitzpatrick, in 2008.
