Robert Huling Obituary

WEST VIRGINIA - Robert Carlo Huling, 78, of Given, W.Va., departed this life on Oct. 15, 2009, in Charleston Area Medical Center, General Division, following an extended illness.

Services were held Saturday (Oct. 17) at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, W. Va., with the Rev. Paul Palmer officiating. Burial followed with full military honors in Fairview Church Cemetery, Given, W. Va.

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations be made to the Veterans Hospital of Canandaigua, 400 Fort Hill Ave., Canandaigua 14424.

He was born June 12, 1931, in Clifton Springs, a son of the late George and Jennie (Edwards) Huling. He was the owner and operator of R.C.H. Associates of Geneva for 35 years. He was a corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War, and was a Catholic by faith.

Surviving are his wife, Marjory Janene (Youngblood) Huling; sons, Joe Huling of Allen Park, Mich., Bob Huling of Clearwater, Fla., and Matt Huling of Phelps; daughters, Esther Tzivanis of Homosassa, Fla., Mary DeBrock of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; stepson, Jim Tirana of Given, W.Va.; stepdaughter, Theresa Bernardo of North East, Pa.; sisters, Ruth Cermak and Florence Burri of Canandaigua and Ethel Toner of Kensett, Ark. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Maureen Huling; daughter, Maureen (Huling) Franzese; brothers, George, Maurice, Eugene, William and Earl Huling; sisters, Frances Peyton, Leanna Huling, Virginia Johnson, Hazel Kline and Marguerite Hutchinson.
