Robert O'Connor Obituary
Bob was born on January 3, 1933, to the late Patrick and Anna (Byrne) O'Connor. He graduated from Waterloo High School in 1951 and enlisted in the US Navy, where he served on the USS Oriskany during the Korean War.
He spent his career working in the materials packaging industry until his retirement. He most enjoyed spending time with his friends on the golf course where he played his last round at age 88. He was a man who always had a smile and a joke for everyone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Ann. He is survived by his daughter, Tricia (Steve) DePillo of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; sons, Tim (Michelle) of Brighton, N.Y. and Bob (Lisa) of Pittsford, N.Y.; stepdaughters, Mary (Michael) Hryzak of Jacksonville, Fla., Kitty (Robert) Middlebrook of Lady Lake, Fla.; and stepsons, Patrick (Kim) McGuane of Chester Springs, Pa., Mike (Rita) McGuane of Westchester, Pa.; his grandchildren, Sarah, Kathleen, Julia, Jeremiah, Noah, Colin, Chelsea, Margaret, Michael, Jordan and Quinn.
Bob was also predeceased by his sisters Lois Wooden, Alice Henry and Betty Nolan.
There will be no prior calling hours. A graveside Military Service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday (December 22), in Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
We would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers that made his end of life journey so peaceful.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Ontario -Yates Hospice or to a charity of your choosing.

I will miss you mightily, Uncle Bob! You were so full of fun and I have so many fond memories of you starting from such a young age. You always had time for the kids in our big family as we all were growing up celebrating holidays at grandma O'Connor's house and so many other events. Rest in peace, Uncle Bob. We all loved you dearly.

Uncle Bob will be missed by many. I am glad that I sat down and had a beer with my grandfather and him later after golf a few times as I got older. He always had great stories.

Bob will be missed by many . I had the pleasure of being with him and becoming so close to your dad he was a wonderful part of my life and I am one of the lucky ones to had the chance to call him my friend and to care for him for almost a year and to be able to have met you all and to become a part of one of the greatest families I no.Fly high my sweet Bobo you may be gone but I´ll never forget you
