Robert Lawrence "Bob" Pollino Sr.

GENEVA- Robert Lawrence Pollino, Sr., 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday (March 9, 2023), at Geneva General Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones.

Family and friends may attend a prayer service at 10 a.m. on Friday (March 17), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, with military honors.

Robert was born on August 6, 1939, in Geneva and was the son of the late John and Frances (Farsace) Pollino. He started working at 14 yrs. old and worked very hard his whole life. He graduated from Geneva High School in 1958. There he became a State Wrestling champ. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. When he returned to Geneva he met his beloved wife, Linda (Russell). They were married and raised three wonderful sons. They spent many happy years together until her untimely death in 1987. Robert worked as a machinist for International Paper and also for Finger Lakes Racetrack, retiring from both. He met Margaret- Ann (Hastings) "Peggie" fell in love and got married. They spent 30 happy years together. On March 14, they would have celebrated their 31st anniversary. He enjoyed word searches and spending time with his family, which he loved very much.

He is survived by his loving wife, Peggie Pollino of Geneva; sons, Robert L. (Lynne) Pollino, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, Fla., John J. (Ginger) Pollino of Lakeland, Fla. and Thomas M. (Donnielle) Pollino of Geneva; grandchildren, Chaz (Jasmine), Hannah and Robert III, David (Melissa), Sherry (Mandol), Brandi and John "Boy" Jr., Jacqueline and Abigail; 14 great grandchildren, plus two on the way; sisters, Connie Kerr of Geneva and Patricia (Stephen) Dragos of Md.; brothers-in-law Bill (Maria) and Steve (Joan) Hastings and Joe Russell; several nieces, nephews.

Robert was predeceased by his previous spouse, Linda Pollino, in 1987; brother, Jay Pollino and sister, Mary Evan.
